Lovecraft describes this monster of a vaguely anthropoid outline, but with an octopus like head whose face was a large number of tentacles, a scaly, rubbery looking body, unusual claws and long narrow wings. Cthulhu has also been described as resembling an octopus and a dragon with human caricatures.

He’s super tall, with webbed human like arms and legs. This large creature first appeared in his short story “The Call of the Cthulhu” in 1928.
