Baphomet

Baphomet
Baphomet is an early 14th century idol of a deity that the Knights Templar were suspect of worshiping, and was later incorporated into occult and mystical customs. The modern representation of Baphomet is a goat head on a human body. The occultist and magician of the late 19th to mid-20th century, Aleister Crowley interpreted Baphomet as the “Divine Androgyne.” Baphomet is usually seen in his classic state of sitting with his legs crossed upon a globe. He bares the Latin words SOLVE (separate) and COAGULA (join together) on either of his arms, a pentagram on his forehead and the flame of intelligence is shining in between his large horns.
